While doing so solo she faces many difficulties and portrays the raw sometimes scary and sometimes painful but ever yet rewarding elements of setting off onto a solo trek.
The Art of Travel
If ditching your wedding and heading to Central America isn’t spontaneous I don’t know what is. In “The Art of Travel” the main character travels for years, clearing through the South American Forest leading the life of a person struck with wanderlust. While his journey isn’t all magical views and wanderlust dreams, this movie portrays the tougher aspects of living a life of travel, but will still leave you wanting to give up everything and travel.
Eat Pray Love (2010)
If you are looking for the ultimate travel inspirational/motivational movie “Eat Pray Love” is just that. While it is many of our dreams to eat our way through European Countries, that’s just what Julia Roberts does in this movie, not to mention falling in love, and traveling all over to some of the most exotic locations. This movie will leave you feeling more hopeful than ever about your travels.
Into the Wild (2007)
One of the most iconic wanderlust movies, based on a true story “Into the Wild” shows the true hardships of life and setting off into the Alaskan wilderness to escape it all. Along the way traveling through the United States, hitchhiking and meeting new people, eventually the Alaskan wilderness is where you really see what it’s like to live a life off the grid. This movie takes you on a journey that will challenge your guts and make you feel like venturing out of your comfort zone to find home in the unknown.
